I RAN FROM THE RAIN DOWN PLAIN JANE LANE,
PAST A NONSENSE FENCE MADE OF IMPLEMENTS,
SAW A CHRISTMAS TREE WHERE NONE SHOULD BE,
BUT I LEFT THAT SQUALL IN THE WHALE-WHEEL MALL.

I absolutely adore these photos. The street sign is by far my favorite. I have become an avid photo taker of street signs, so yours intrigued me.
Thanks, Sarah. I’m always taking these kinds of shots with my phone, and then every once in awhile a muse kisses me and they organize into a post. I like the odd street names too. There will be more of these, when the mood occurs. I hope you didn’t miss the sign at the end of “Views to Amuse”.
I feel like you live in a place inhabited by many drug addicts. Who else would create a yard work fence and decorate a tree in the middle of nowhere.
In my limited experience it is more the frontier effect. When you get far enough away from town, you just do whatever you feel like. The veneer of civilized behavior evaporates.
I think it’s wonderful and I believe I recall reading this ages ago.
You are too kind. It just spilled out – a rare instance.
